Varysian has worked in the Pacific region for years bringing stakeholders together in a region that is extremely vulnerable to the effects of climate change. In 2025, we will be hosting Directors of National Meteorological and Hydrological services from Pacific Island nations to discuss their challenges, gaps and identify areas and processes for capacity development. This event provides an opportunity for the various stakeholder to meet and develop relationships with national services from a region that is often overlooked and under-served.

This meeting is scheduled to run alongside the Pacific Islands Ocean Conference as well as meetings discussing the ongoing Weather Ready Pacific Programme of Investment. These meetings are focused on boosting Pacific Meteorological Services through technological investment, showcasing scientific work and strengthening capacity building efforts for local and regional stakeholders.
